The A21 takes you either towards Tonbridge, Tunbridge Wells and Hastings or off to the M25 which gets you to Gatwick Airport, the Dartford Tunnel & Ebbsfleet station in just under 30 minutes. There are further main road links with the M20 for Ashford and London (A20).

Six to eight trains an hour head to London Cannon Street or Charing Cross taking just 30 to 40 minutes. Two to three trains an hour head away from the capital to Ashford International and the Coast (Ramsgate or Folkestone).

Leisure Facilities & Places to go
You’re spoilt for choice. Historic places to visit include Ightham Mote, Chartwell (former home of Winston Churchill), Knole Park, Hever Castle, Penshurst Place and Chiddingstone Castle to name just a few.

Families will especially love the many open spaces, parks, gardens and nature reserves around the county including Riverhill House Gardens, Great Comp Garden and Emmetts Garden.

For sports lovers, the facilities are among the best in the UK, with Sevenoaks town centre boasting a large leisure centre, swimming pool and sports hall. However, it is the many individual sports clubs that offer the greatest choice; hockey, football and rugby teams, cricket, tennis, martial arts and gymnastics, as well as two golf clubs make the Sevenoaks area a great place to keep active.

Schools
There are an abundance of schools within the Sevenoaks district with many independent and highly regarded state schools covering a range of educational needs. Sevenoaks School, Walthamstow Hall School for Girls and Tonbridge School are the most sought-after independent schools with Amherst Primary School, Riverhead Infants School and The Bradbourne Secondary School leading the way for state schools.

Shopping & Eating Out
Sevenoaks town centre has great shopping facilities with large supermarkets including Marks & Spencer, Tesco’s, Sainsbury’s and Waitrose. Other major high street retailers include Gap, Boots, Burton Menswear, Fat Face, Sweaty Betty, WHSmith & Phase Eight. Many, however, find the most appealing aspects of shopping in the town centre are the independently owned boutiques and shops, as well as various local markets.

Kent is well known for it’s rural pubs and cream teas and Sevenoaks doesn’t disappoint. Public houses offer traditional pub grub and great beer alongside independent tea rooms and cafes serving tea, coffee and baked treats.

You’ll also find recognisable restaurant chains such as Côte Brasserie, Nando’s, Zizzi, Pizza Express & Wagamama alongside delightful family run restaurants that have been serving customers in Sevenoaks for decades.
