On Saturday, September 2nd, our team entered our very first Dragon Boat race at Bewl Water in Kent, to raise funds for Hospice in the Weald.
More than twenty of our amazing staff, friends, and family members showed up, paddles in hand to take on the challenge and make a difference.
The day was filled with excitement as we geared up for the competition. With three heats and a grand final ahead of us, the stakes were high, and our determination was even higher. The atmosphere was fantastic, and we had great camaraderie among our team members.
Although we did not make the final, what made the difference was the incredible generosity of everyone involved. Together, we managed to raise approximately £1,500 for Hospice in the Weald! And that’s not even the final tally; we’re still crunching the numbers to ensure every penny counts.
